AI Integration for Educators

FLANC Top 10 Conference Session — Artificial Intelligence in Education

Overview

As artificial intelligence began rapidly emerging in education, many educators were curious about AI tools but unsure how they could be meaningfully and responsibly used in classrooms. I designed and facilitated an interactive professional development session introducing educators to the evolving landscape of AI in education and practical classroom applications.

The session focused on helping educators move from curiosity and uncertainty to confidence and exploration through hands-on learning experiences and real-world instructional examples.

Audience

K–12 educators, world language teachers, instructional leaders, and educational professionals exploring emerging educational technologies.

Goals

Tools & Technologies Explored

Instructional Design Approach

The session was intentionally designed as a highly interactive and learner-centered experience. Participants engaged in:

The presentation emphasized practical application over theory, allowing educators to directly experience how AI tools could support instruction, differentiation, lesson planning, and student engagement.

Learning Need Addressed

At the time of the presentation, AI in education was still relatively new to many educators. Many participants had heard about AI but had limited exposure to actual tools, classroom use cases, or implementation strategies.

This session helped bridge that gap by providing accessible entry points into AI-enhanced teaching and learning.
